April News From The Groups

Garstang Ukulele Group

Word has reached us that our tens of fans have been writing to their MPs demanding an end to pandemic restrictions so they can once again listen to live music in the key of C. Well be patient, we shall return soon (hopefully in the late summer or autumn) with all our favourite tunes. Mind you, after such a long break we’ll be in need of some rehearsals before we’re ready to play in public again.

Hope everyone is keeping well and that we get to see you soon.

Best wishes, Bob Sapey

GMP continue to meet weekly on zoom.  We are rehearsing some fabulous new material that will be shared via our social media pages. Our first virtual performance was launched Mothering Sunday and we are pleased to say the response has been fabulous. There is still chance to see it. Search garstang musical productions on Twitter, Facebook or instagram and we will come up. Please follow our pages for upcoming events.

Dear friends at last we seem to be slowly moving forward!  Spring is arriving and with it the prospect of better weather. There is hope that we are nearing our goal of meeting again and returning to normality. So keep your spirits up, we Will get there!

Hello ladies yet another month has slipped by which makes it a year since we were together singing for pleasure. I am sure like me you are missing the joy of each others company, sharing conversation, a brew and of course the music. Let us hope that it wont be long before our lives can be back to some sort of normality (have we forgotten what that is)but in the meantime do keep well, stay safe and hopefully see you soon.
