About Garstang Patchwork & Needlework Group
The group has been established since October 2007. The group provides an opportunity to meet on a regular basis to practice several skills e.g. patchwork, quilting, knitting, embroidery, cross stitch, etc.
We meet each Wednesday morning from 10.00 – 12.00, in the Music Room, Arts Centre, throughout the year, except for August (restart the first week of September).
Thanks to a 2008 grant from Community Futures, several pieces of equipment are now held by the group.
There is not a regular tutor, but there are tutorials which are well received. Sometimes members themselves demonstrate a skill with which not all are familiar e.g. lace-making, broomstick crochet, etc.
Exhibitions of members’ work are normally held in September.
