For this year’s theme, the artists are to design a bug to go into our woodland exhibition! Use the template provided below to be as creative as possible. Using whatever medium you’d like: paints, collage, pens and pencils, pastels chalk, crayons – whatever you choose!
You can enter as many times as you’d like, the more the merrier. All entries will be displayed in our exhibition.
The winners will be presented with a personalised t-shirt with their design on and certificate at a prize giving morning at the Art Centre.
Entries are to be dropped off to the Garstang Arts Centre by the Thursday 28th May to a member of staff or through the letterbox in a protective sleeve.
Please remember to make sure the artist’s name, age and school is written on the paper. If you’re not entering through a school, please provide a contact email or phone number of a parent or guardian.
Prize giving will be at the Garstang Arts Centre – date to be confirmed.
The three age categories are: 4 – 6, 7 – 9, 10 – 12 years old.
Schools will be informed in advanced of prize winners.
Inspiration: Think wings, legs, shells, antenna, and eyes! Does your bug slither, jump, fly or crawl? What colours are your insect? It could be a beautiful butterfly or create a whole new species of crawling creature!
