Garstang Ukulele Group
On a gloriously sunny day, a large group of ukulele lads and lasses played at Bleasdale Tower Gardens to a very appreciative audience. The sunshine brought out a large crowd who were relaxed, happy and ready to be entertained. We put on a grand performance, one of our best I think, which was very warmly received. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by the beauty of the gardens. What a fabulous way to spend a sunny afternoon.
A first for our group today, while one group played at Alexandra Care Home in Poulton reprising our VE Day concert, another group performed the same set at Alexandra Court Care Home in Thornton Cleveleys. Dressed to impress, our selection of songs from yesteryear created a wonderful stroll down memory lane for our audiences.
This meant twice the fun and twice the number of very happy audience members who clapped, cheered and sang along with us.
Know that wherever we may roam we are always delighted to bring our brand of music and fun to you. You can contact us on our Facebook page, email Trevor Philips at mail@trevorphillips.co.uk or call 01995600378 . Ruth McBride
