Never was so much owed by so many to so few
It has been our pleasure and privilege this week to participate in VE Day celebrations. As a group, we are never happier than when we are sharing our love of music within our local community and what better time could there ever be than to celebrate with you all as we remember the end of WWII?
A perfect set list was chosen to take our audiences back to that day 80 years ago when the war finally ended.
While we rolled back the barrel of fun; had a right knees up (didn’t we Mrs Brown?) or just packed up all our troubles for a short time, we stepped back in time to enjoy again the joy of that May Day in 1945. Thank you Whitechapel and Oakfield for inviting us to share in your festivities.
Know that wherever we may roam we are always delighted to bring our brand of music and fun to you.
Until we meet again …… you can contact us on our Facebook page, email Trevor Philips at mail@trevorphillips.co.uk or call 01995600378 .

The Book Club
Last months book was generally regarded as a difficult read but in the end very rewarding.  This month we are reading “A Long Petal of the Sea”  by Isabel Allende.
A young doctor is caught up in the Spanish Civil War, he is forced to leave Spain into exile in Chile, over the next four generations a story is woven of love and tragedy. He is witness to the battle between freedom and repression as it plays out across the world.
