What’s on in April

EXHIBITIONS
By day Kim Leong works as a doctor in Lancaster but, in his spare time, he enjoys bringing buildings to life through illustration.  What started as a way to unwind, Kim’s love of architecture has become a true passion – capturing the character & history of buildings worldwide.  Kim’s detailed illustrations may be seen from Tuesday 8th April to Thursday 1st May.

Garstang Ukulele Group
Springing into Spring
As daylight hours lengthen and the weather gradually seems to be getting warmer, green shoots have begun to sprout through the once frozen ground. Spring and rebirth is happening all around us.
Taking a lead from Mother Nature our ukulele group has spent the cold winter months preparing different songs to bring new life, energy and fun to our playlists.
Our enthusiasm for entertaining is as strong as ever and it looks as if we will have a lively set which we will be delighted to share with friends old and new. Look for us in familiar places; but there are also new challenges for us to face and new adventures to be had. But more of that later!
To get in touch with us, message us on our Facebook page, email Trevor Philips at mail@trevorphillips.co.uk or call 01995600378 and find out just how well we can add some fun to your celebrations

The Book Club
February’s book, which was enjoyed by all the members, got us all talking about long distance walking we had done in the past, with some very amusing anecdotes.
Our next book is “ The Midnight Hour “ by Elly Griffiths,  this is one of a series of Brighton mysteries set in 1965.  Theatrical impresario  Bert Billington is found dead and the post-mortem reveals poisoning,  the suspicion falls on his wife,  Verity.  She calls in investigator Emma Holmes to prove her innocence.  Emma is convinced the answer lies in Bert’s dark past in his days in the Music Hall.
Our next meeting is on Tuesday April 1st at 10.30 am
