What’s on in November

Exhibitions
Ann Jones started painting when she retired from secondary school maths teaching
never having done art at school  and knowing nothing about it.
She started in watercolour, not realising that this is the most difficult medium but,
with the help of courses and tutors, enjoyed painting loose watercolours and botanical work. Later experimenting with acrylics, oils, inks, alcohol inks and encaustic work; enjoying the free expression of these mediums.  A recent discovery of fluid acrylics and their bright colours has given Ann much enjoyment as she strives to find new ways to use it.
Ann’s exhibition runs from Tues 24th October to Thursday 16th November.

FUN all the way! So let those ukes play!
As summer becomes a distant memory, sometimes it’s hard to remember that there is still much to enjoy during this Autumn season. So far the word of the month for our ukulele group has been FUN!
October launched with St John’s, Calder Vale Harvest Festival.
The fun then continued with a charity thrash organised by Fylde Ukulele Network (FUN) to celebrate their 10th Anniversary
And culminated at the Fun Palace organised by Garstang library.
